I am a mother of two girls.  My rings started as a way to help pay for cheerleading expenses and has grown!

What do you create and what do YOU love about your products?
I make wire rings.  I actually make all kinds of jewelry but make rings at shows.  I love how creative people can be with colors!

What sets your creations apart from others?
Every ring is designed by the customer picking colors and styles.  I put it together for them!

Where do you find inspiration?
Clothing!  Fun color combinations make for great rings!

The Alliday Show believes that everyday should be celebrated as a holiday!  That being said, which holiday do you wish were everyday and why?
I have to say Christmas!  I love the hustle and bustle of Christmas and everyone rejoicing in spirit!

If you could create your own holiday, what would it be and why?
It would have to be something regarding giving to others!  I was blessed with a giving heart and would love to have a holiday to celebrate giving.

What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Christmas morning watching the kiddos open presents from Santa!  That man spoils them every year!

Alliday Artist: Meet Okie Crowe!

Tell us a little about yourself and your business.
In early 2011, I began making soap as a craft project. I began gifting my homemade soaps to friends and family. Then, a good friend suggested that I market my soaps at Blue Dome Arts Festival in Tulsa, OK. A month later, Groggs Green Barn offered to sell my products in their store and Okie Crowe was born!

What do you create and what do YOU love about your products?
Okie Crowe’s unique product line includes apparel, Bark n’ Beerscuits dog treats, bath fizzes, beer décor, beer soaps, felted soaps, hand scrubs, homebrew kits and refills, keychains, luggage tags, pet accessories and collars, sachets, scented soaps, and more. I love Okie Crowe products because of the ingenuity behind every item.

Collaborating with Squigglechick Designs, the keychains, luggage tags, and pet collars made for Okie Crowe are a fun addition as well. Having carpal tunnel syndrome, I have the difficult task of drinking beers so Squigglechick Designs can use the labels for these products at Okie Crowe. Working at Okie Crowe is a rough job, but someone has to do it! Miraculously, the roster of Okie Crowe Volunteers is a long one!
What sets your creations apart from others?
Okie Crowe’s quirky scents, beer-themed goodies, reduce/reuse/repurpose ideals, love of pets, and penchant for all things fun keep customers giggling and wondering what is next.

Where do you find inspiration?
Okie Crowe products are inspired by many of my favorite things: body products, fragrances, sense of humor, recycling, my two cats and two dogs, craft breweries, homebrewing, the handmade movement, Tulsa, being an Okie, music, favorite musicians, life’s adventures, my wacky personality, and…

The Alliday Show believes that everyday should be celebrated as a holiday! That being said, which holiday do you wish were everyday and why?
Christmas! Bring on the holiday treats, mulled wine, and gift giving! Let’s love and spoil one another every day!
If you could create your own holiday, what would it be and why?
Okie Crowe Day! The celebration would include lots of delicious food, art vendors, a spectacular beer and wine selection, and stellar tunes.

What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Playing Santa! When Santa has left his gifts underneath our Christmas tree and it is time to open them, someone in the family gets to be Santa by wearing a special hat and passing out the gifts to each family member. Ho! Ho! Ho!

Alliday Allstar: Halfway Home Greyhound Adoption!

There are some that have the golden touch when it comes to wrapping presents and there are others that don't.  And there's nothing wrong with that!  Luckily for those who aren't so into wrapping presents, there are talented folks to pick up the slack and we'll have them with us again!  Halfway Home Greyhound Adoption will be wrapping presents for donations for their cause at our 2012 show and we couldn't be more greytful for them!

Halfway Home Greyhound Adoption is a unique adoption team formed in the spring of 2002 to help dogs that do not have access to greyhound track adoption programs in finding their adoptive homes. We are a small group of dedicated volunteers motivated by our love of the breed and respect for the farms' commitment to the dogs. Oklahoma is one of the top three breeders of greyhounds and so we have an abundant supply of dogs. Our group is unique in that although we do some local adoptions, are main priority is to put together hauls of greys from Oklahoma to other greyhound adoption groups across the country and to Canada and Alaska. All of our financial support comes from private donations.

The Salvation Army Needs You!

We're elated to be partnering with The Salvation Army for this year's Alliday Show and we're hoping you'll partner with us as well to help out SO many deserving children in the Tulsa area!

Their Angel Tree program is over but 100 angels were left waiting in addition to 'Forgotten Angels' whose tags never came back!  There are also several Angels that only have one or two items so we need help rounding out their gift bags!  There is a big need for clothes, coats, older toys (pre-teens), etc.  No gift cards or candy, please.

By bringing an item to donate to our Saturday show, you'll be entered into a drawing to win a prize of amazing donations from our talented artists!  The prize package is something to be desired!

If you're not able to make the show and want to contribute, you can donate directly by texting "Joy" to 85944 to make a one time $10 donation or you can donate online at www.salarmytulsa.org.

Alliday Artist: Meet Cox's Creations!

Tell us a little about yourself and your business.
My name is Wanda Cox. I am a self taught artist. I started recycling old junk, cream cans, saws, t-pots and coffeepots. I have many steps to my work. I enjoy painting old barns, buildings etc on anything I can get my hands on.

What do you create and what do YOU love about your products?
I create art on anything old. I first started on saw blades and then the cream cans. I love the old metal international coffee tins, band aid boxes, spice that are difficult to find anymore.

What sets your creations apart from others?
Every item is artistically homemade. I do all the painting and antiquing by hand.

Where do you find inspiration?
I love old barns, windmills, and covered bridges. I often get orders from people for specific things, but since I’m self taught, I really like painting what I want.

The Alliday Show believes that everyday should be celebrated as a holiday!
That being said, which holiday do you wish were everyday and why? I wish everyday was Valentine’s Day. I love creating homemade cards, gifts, and one of a kind special gifts to give to people every day to show them that they are being thought of, that they are loved and to help brighten there day.

If you could create your own holiday, what would it be and why?
I would create a Hugs Day. I would share this day with all of our friends and family where ever they might be and help them to feel loved and blessed on this holiday. We would all get together and eat nothing but SWEET some things to remind all of us that we are all sweet and to remind each person that we love them. We would end the day with hugs and kisses.

What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Sending out a Christmas letter to all of our special friends and family and giving out plates of home baked things to neighbors, teachers and friends.

How would you describe your work in three words?
Creative, Recyclable, 100% homemade

Alliday Artist: Meet Dava's Fine Fudge!

Tell us a little about yourself and your business.
Fudge is not just for the holidays anymore. It is the ultimate gourmet comfort food and can bring wonder and joy to your heart everyday of the year!

I wanted to do something that would put a smile on everyone’s face. So, after retirement in July of 2009 I began making fudge. Dava’s Fine Fudge is sold at several retailers and events across Oklahoma.
What do you create and what do YOU love about your products?
Fudge is one of the foods from my childhood that binds together a sense of family joy and togetherness. Fudge was a very special treat served only during Christmas gatherings. The lights from the tree sparkled against the ice cycles, garlands, and ornaments and a sense of wonder that the Child was born and all was well with the world made my heart glad.

Passing on a little bit of that wonder from childhood is my greatest inspiration.
What sets your creations apart from others?
I use the best ingredients available and strive to present the 40 plus flavors in a visually attractive way. Each flavor has a story to tell and begins a new story each time someone tastes for the first time.

Where do you find inspiration?
Favorite ice creams, cakes and deserts.
The Alliday Show believes that everyday should be celebrated as a holiday! That being said, which holiday do you wish were everyday and why?
Christmas brings out the wonder of childhood that I wish we could carry with us each and everyday.

If you could create your own holiday, what would it be and why?
The Giving Day. Celebrate the act of giving without anyone knowing that you gave.
What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Family gatherings.

How would you describe your work in three words?
Food, fun and family

Alliday Allstar: Unanimous Craft

Organizing the crafting community.  Could anything sound more daunting and intimidating?!  That's what Unanimous Craft is all about and she's doing it.  Well.

Who are you?
I’m Rosalie Gale, creator of Unanimous Craft (http://www.unanimouscraft.com), EtsySaver (http://www.etsysaver.com), bARTer Sauce (http://www.bartersauce.com) and Shower Art (http://www.showerart.net). I am currently obsessed with German Board games, Bikram yoga and embroidery.

Tell us a little about your business/service.
Unanimous Craft is a directory of resources for folks running indie businesses. You can create a listing for your own business, look up information on marketing or SEO. When you find something really useful (or something you hate) you can review it and rate it. This year we launched a national craft show calendar and are currently working on state by state forums so you can interact with people in your area.
Where are you located?
I’m in Seattle, WA right now. On the corner of 3rd and Lenora. Right across the street from Cinerama. They have chocolate popcorn there. It tastes like warm Cocoa Puffs.

What are your favorite handmade items to shop for?
Everything. Whenever I replace something in my home, I try to find a handmade alternative.

What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Me, my husband Doug and our friend Laura have created Nestmas. Pajamas are mandatory and we all spend the day curled up on couches with big comforters, watching movies.

What holiday do you wish was everyday and why?
NESTMAS!

Alliday Artist: Meet Paintin' By Faith!

Tell us a little about yourself.
I am Vanessa – mother, wife, rural-carrier and artist. I love being all of those things – but being an artist keeps me sane. Using metals (copper, sterling silver and nickel mostly) I create wearable pieces of art. My pieces can vary from a nature scene straight out of the woods to a sexy pinup girl.

What do you create and what do YOU love about your products?
I create jewelry – but not the jewelry you are use to seeing every day. Each piece is created completely by hand and each piece is a small piece of art. I do duplicate some pieces but never are two pieces the same. I love the very rustic feel of my designs – I am not a girl that likes ‘bling’ so the style that comes across in my work is very much a part of who I am.

What sets your creations apart from others?
My attitude. I refuse to live in a box – everything I do starts outside of the box most of the world thinks they should live in. I also refuse to be told I can’t – I can and I will.

Where do you find inspiration?
I always hate this question. Because I have the boring answer of ‘everywhere’ – but that is my answer. I have looked up at a billboard and a new design is started in my head. I have sat in my deer stand looking at the trees with no leaves and a design begins. My kids have talk to me about something – yes another design. Just the other day I looked up in the clouds and could see a whale (yes I still look for shapes in the clouds) and another idea hit me. So yes my answer is cliché – everywhere.
The Alliday Show believes that everyday should be celebrated as a holiday! That being said, which holiday do you wish were everyday and why?
I love the 4th of July. I love what it stands for. I love the colors. I love that time of year – lake, tank tops, shorts – I get to do what I do because of the freedom that day stands for.

If you could create your own holiday, what would it be and why?
I think we should have a nature holiday. A day to recognize and appreciate the land around us. I know there is Earth Day – but I think it should be more about nature and recognized by all.

What is your favorite holiday tradition?
My kids are getting older so I look forward to doing this with my grandkids when I have them. Every year I would let my kids open only one gift. Always PJ’s, so when Santa came in to see them they would have new special PJ’s on. They were always so excited to see what they would look like and the magic of Santa seeing them sleep.

Alliday Artist: Meet Inspired by Felicity!

Tell us a little about yourself and your business.
Three years ago I was working at what I thought was my “dream job”, as the Marketing Director for a small banking corporation. Then my daughter, Felicity, was born. When I went back to work after being on maternity leave I was miserable and knew I had to find a way to be home with her for the first few, most precious years of her life. I left my career and began to work towards making my hobby of creating children’s accessories into a real business. After a lot of hard work my little company is growing and in addition to my retail sales through our website and craft shows, my designs are now carried in some fabulous boutiques. My daughter is now two-and-a-half and is by my side everyday “helping” me work and I could not be happier.

What do you create and what do YOU love about your products?
I create baby / little girl hair accessories, as well as a some clothing pieces and a few adult hair accessories and brooches. I love the quality of the materials that go into my designs. There are so many cheaply made hair bows and accessories on the market. I love looking at my designs and seeing the sparkle of the exquisite rhinestones and glitter and touching the soft thick ribbons and smooth feathers and knowing that most importantly, everything is made safe for children, with lead free clips and rhinestones.

What sets your creations apart from others?
In addition to the quality of my pieces, I think the designs are unique because they are a mix of a vintage style or flapper look with a modern twist. I like to mix old and new styles together or put contrasting elements into the same piece.
Where do you find inspiration?
I have created things as long as I can remember. I’ve went through so many different stages where I’ve made jewelry, stained glass, painted, sewn, drawn, made mixed medium décor pieces and did floral designs and loads of other things and I draw on all of these things when I’m working today. When I’m not in the mood to work on my hair pieces I’ll start throwing some paint on something or doing something simple like sewing fabric yoyos and the next thing I know a new idea comes to me for a hair piece.

If you could create your own holiday, what would it be and why?
I have no idea what it would be except that it would involve food, family time and creating!
What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Probably dying Easter eggs. This is the first year Felicity will be big enough to do it and I cannot wait!

How would you describe your work in three words?
Elegant, Bold, Unique

Alliday Artist: Meet Garden Finds!

Tell us a little about yourself and your business.
I love the process of creating something new from something old. I’ve always loved working with wood and started making feeders and birdhouses out of scrap lumber for my own yard, family and friends. I now have a shop on etsy and set up shop at local craft shows. My goal is to offer a unique product by reusing materials instead of tossing them away to the landfill and to provide the birds with a neat little feasting/nesting spot.

What do you create and what do YOU love about your products?
I create bird feeders and birdhouses from reclaimed, recycled and/or vintage materials. Some I leave natural and some I paint. I love that they’re attractive yet easy to use and built to last.

What sets your creations apart from others?
The design and materials used.

Where do you find inspiration?
My yard is certified as a National Wildlife Backyard Habitat as well as an Oklahoma State Wildscape. Everything I’ve planted and designed is to make a natural habitat for the birds and wildlife. I have come to know what birds will use and won’t use, what they like and don’t like. I am able to observe them daily and I suppose that’s where I find most of my inspiration.
The Alliday Show believes that everyday should be celebrated as a holiday! That being said, which holiday do you wish were everyday and why?
I would choose Earth Day even though my motto is Everyday is Earth Day! It’s a day to celebrate what we’ve been given and reminds us to be responsible for our actions on this planet.

If you could create your own holiday, what would it be and why?
A Day of Love so we could be reminded to tell our loved ones how much they mean to us. Life is too short and often we fail to do that on a daily basis.
What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Decorating the Christmas tree for the Holidays. We always made or purchased a new ornament each year when my children were growing up. Now we’ve carried on that tradition with the grandkids and they love it. We always have homemade hot cocoa.

How would you describe your work in three words?
Unique, attractive, easy

Alliday Allstar: StreetCats!

Nothing is more comforting than having a warm animal to snuggle up with during the cold days of winter (and fall!) which is why we're grateful for organizations that help the animals that warm our souls.  At this year's Alliday, we're welcoming the wonderful StreetCats to join us.  They've been saving cats in Tulsa for over ten years now with no end in sight.  They're a blessing to our city but more so, they're a blessing to cats.

Tell us a little about StreetCats, Inc.
We are an all volunteer non profit cat adoption center and gift boutique. We take in homeless cats and care for them until a home can be found. We work with vets in the Tulsa area and people who want to help homeless cats on the streets to get sterilized and vaccinated. We exist on donations only. Some of the money from donations is used to purchase items at wholesale which we in turn sell at a fair price to help with expenses.

Alliday Artist: Meet Blackjack Canyon Candle Co.!

Tell us a little about yourself and your business.
I started making candles because I've always loved them but always had problems finding strong scented candles that really filled a room with scent and didn't cost a fortune! I started making them for myself and then friends and family and word spread from there!

What do you create and what do YOU love about your products?
